Mountain Meetup

January 16, 2025

We liked it so nice we’re doing it twice. That’s right friends Lost is again renting Turner Mountain for ourselves on January 16th, 2025 for another round of the Mountain Meetup. Consider this is our formal request for your attendance.

Turner Mountain is located just north of Libby, Montana on Pipe Creek Road. Plan on getting into Libby the evening of the 15th at the latest as we’ll be headed up to the mountain early in the AM. There are several hotels and AirBnB’s to choose from.

Planes, trains and automobiles! You can get to Libby via Amtrak Empire Builder or commercial flights into nearby Kalispell & Missoula, Montana and Spokane, Washington. Easy to rent cars.

Make your way through the gauntlet below: our buddy Gary’s 60 second banger of a video from when we rented the mountain in 2023, along with some photos taken by people who made the trip. Good luck not signing up.

Your $25 registration fee gets you:
  • Full day of gratuitously deep and steep skiing or snowboarding (or just loitering around the lodge, chairlift, or parking lot)
  • Unlimited one-way trip chairlift rides (round-trip if something goes wrong)
  • The best ski patrol in the Kootenai
  • A variety of beverages for hydration and other such things
  • Live Music to tickle your ear holes
  • All the Lostness we can legally fit on one mountain
  • And possibly more…?

A couple of important bits for ya:

→ It’s ok if you don’t have your own stuff.  All the usual equipment rentals are available right at the Lodge. Cash and card accepted.

→ Speaking of the the Lodge, it also has a kitchen with burgers and snacks available for purchase. They also have their own tables and chairs!

→ If it’s not already clear, this is a pay-your-own way event so transportation and lodging are on you.

→ We can’t control the weather. While we certainly hope conditions are favorable (and we’ll be there as long as they let us on the chairlift) there is a chance it could be shitty.

→ Because downhill skiing and snowboarding is inherently dangerous, we will have liability waivers to sign when we check you in.

Turns out renting an entire mountain is kind of expensive but PizzaPack helps us make it less expensive for you. Give em a gander.
